Antonio Sotil is a Senior Engineer at Knight Piésold’s Vancouver office. He is a civil engineer with experience in seismicity studies, site investigation, geotechnical analysis, civil detailed design, construction supervision, and mine closure plans for mining projects. He has also been responsible in managing projects and liaising with clients through different phases of project development, including conceptual studies, feasibility studies, detailed design, and quality assurance during construction of tailings storage facilities, heap leach pads, waste dumps, and water reservoirs. His project experience includes South America, North America and Australia. He is a native Spanish speaker.

Daniel Yang is a Specialist Geotechnical Engineer at Knight Piésold’s Vancouver office. He has 25 years of work experience as a Geotechnical Engineer/Project Manager providing design, consultation and construction services in mining and power industries worldwide. He specializes in geotechnical site investigation, soil/rock slope stability analysis, foundation engineering, open pit slope design, mine waste/water management plan, construction supervision, and project management. His project experience includes Canada, USA, Mexico, South America, the Middle East and China.

Chris Brodie holds the position of Manager, Environmental Services at Knight Piésold’s Vancouver office and is the Global Environmental Sector Lead. Since joining Knight Piésold in 1996, he has regularly coordinated multidisciplinary teams in the production of environmental impact assessments for mining and hydroelectric projects. He has successfully permitted projects to conform to Canadian, US EPA, and World Bank/Equator Principle regulations and is familiar with the other global jurisdictional requirements. Mr. Brodie is often called upon to undertake stakeholder engagement programs on behalf of project components, and has developed specific skills in First Nation relationship building. As a fluent Spanish speaker, he frequently coordinates specialists and locals for Latin American projects, and provides stakeholder liaison.
